Lifeline

Walk beside me through the struggle of life My lifeline as you claim to be as I battle my demons, face my darkness, But you, you my love pry me out of my shell, you make me exposed But you, you my love when it is our turn, you shy away. Your addictions, your demons are your secrets. I'm pushing your boundaries of privacy as you push me away I thought we were companions, partners in crime. But you, you my love, walk alone Your choice as I am refused choices, now reduced to a ball of worry and tears, and you can't deal But my love, but, I am right here. Your lifeline as I claim to be.
