Lifeless

Lifeless
              Authored by Chuck Keys

I wish she loved me,
anyway,
but some.

The heart needs the up-time
as the soul
needs an echo.

I wish she loved me,
always, maybe forever,
but not never.

Loveless is not an existence;
it is a span of emptiness,
a wasteland.

I miss what I no longer have
as Man needs a God.
Do I?

Destined to alone,
am I alone,
or am I free.
