Whatever happens to me I will always conduct myself
in a manner worthy of the Lord, and his son Jesus,
when I pray, the Lord will come, will hear and see
my bowed head, my tears, and the truth in my words
and how I stand firm in my strength, spirit and faith,
without fear of those who oppose me with their words
oh, this is a sign to them that I am like a tree planted
by the river of life, my roots run deep into the earth
no storm, no words said or written will ever touch me
but will flutter away like withered leaves decaying,
be careful I say, be careful with your words, careful
for the Lord sees all and hears all . . . and remembers !
