Life with hemophilia
You say you love me now
But wait until I can't get sleep,
cause my elbow is in pain
And all I can do is sit and brave it out
Wait until I need that quick drive to the hospital
When I'm in pain I barely speak
And my face turns into the despair I keep inward
When all I care about is how the swelling will go away
Wait until I have a mouth-sore
And I'm bleeding from the sides of the mouths
And I can't kiss you for days on straight
All you can do is just look at my lips
Wait until I can barely eat your food
Cause when in pain I want nothing
And you have to eat by yourself
Or you'd lose your appetite and not eat at all
Wait until you need to pick up the needle
And help me find a vein
When the sight of blood is something you'll have to bear with
Cause my body keeps flaring up from time to time
You say you love me now
I hope you can bear it all
Cause I also worry about me sometimes
Cause they're days I can't be the man you'd want
