Life Resembles a Playground
at times life resembles a playground
an array of choices to make
options which guide us through life
from childhood throughout adult
our lives are much like merry-go-rounds
always moving in a circular motion
the difference that lies between us
never knowing where life will lead
there are times we soar like rockets
first overcoming the climb
then take positions as leaders
learning with each new adventure
sometimes life’s just like a swing set
meandering back and forth
so full of ups and downs
never maintaining a path
other times we run it like track
forever moving forward
jumping the hurdles ahead
continue beyond our life’s goals
