Life Is What You Don'T Step In

Life is what you don’t step in— It’s what you step around. But if you’re always missin’ it, It’s still there on the ground. Sometimes you cannot miss it— It goes up to your neck— But now you know just what it is And say “Now what the heck!” But like cowpokes too close to fire— We have to eat some soot. If it ain’t all over your boots, You’d just as well be barefoot!
