Life Is Like a Maypole

Grab a hold and take a spin
You destiny shall begin

Hang on tight
With all your might

You’ll want to reach
The very end

Pick any color you desire
Red, yellow, pink or even saffire

The pink ribbon sends you flying high
The blue and yellow can’t touch the sky

The dance will begin
And as you spin

Your color will entwine
With other colors of your life to make it so devine.

You will laugh and spin
And do it again

You will fall and cry
And wonder why

Your life is like a maypole
A dance with colors of the sky

This wonderful dance of colors
Entwined with all the others

Is a journey that you must begin
Until you reach the very end
