"THE MERCIFUL MAN DOETH GOOD TO HIS OWN SOUL; BUT HE THAT IS CRUEL TROUBLES HIS OWN FLESH."  Proverbs 11:17

The new version puts it this way.

"YOUR OWN SOUL IS NOURISHED WHEN YOU ARE KIND BUT IT IS TROUBLED WHEN YOU ARE CRUEL.."

Life is like a garden. You reap whate'er you sow. You can't sow thorns and thistles, Expecting good things to grow. Whatever you put into life, Is what you will get out. You'll reap much better if you plant Encouragement not doubt. Spreading gossip and rumors, Will sow a bitter crop. Fertilize your life with love. Let kindness feed your lot. Shower your life with goodness. Work tirelessly and pray. You'll find yourself too busy, To mope about all day. Instead of counting curses, Feeding anger, discontent, Reach out to help someone in need. You'll find your anger spent. Life is like a garden. You have to watch for weeds. Feed and water, gently tend, And nourish little seeds, Seeds of hope and goodness. Let kindness be your guide, And your own soul will blossom, With the love you find inside.

I don't know how that review meant for Vijay Pandit ended up on MY poem. GRRRR. It was a total accident. Didn't mean to review my own work. Please ignore it. So embarrassed.

A very thought provoking write. A couple of nights ago a cat wandered into our garden and nonchalantly walked around our home and settled on my keyboard. It had a name tag so phoned the owner who sounded very old. Can you bring me my cat, so we tried but cats don't like cars, it jumped out. I phoned the lady she said the cat came back but her lights had tripped, she was in the dark, Hubby and I drove there and helped her out. Her hubby was in Hospital. A beautiful poem Judy. Hugs, Jenny.
