Life Is Good
My goat’s back in the yard
with all the other goats.
The Billy’s got an eye on her;
I think he’s takin’ notes.
She’s strutting out her stuff;
She’s looking pretty good.
It’s well that I just fixed the fence;
He’d jump it if he could.
Miss Juno’s in the shade,
ecaping from the sun.
She’s lounging with a watchful eye,
ready to get ‘er done.
The rabbits in the cages,
the chickens in the coop,
just chillin’ on a summer day;
the heat will make you droop.
The cats are on the porch.
My daughter’s on the swing.
The grands are the kiddie pool.
I wouldn’t change a thing.
