Life Is But a Poem

Weak, weak is but a word
And reluctance is but another
The vices of a caged mocking bird
Strength of our fire they smother

Release, release is but a goal
And freedom is but another
The dreams of a sheltered soul
Persistence of a mind will conquer

Rage, rage is but an emotion
And anger is but another
The wind above the wings of love
And these will ground your soul

Be awake and be alive
Do not let the sorrows of life entangle
Be a warrior with the virtues of a knight
And the sparrows in your heart will flutter free
