Life Is A Gamble

Life is a gamble And we are all bettors But whatever is the game we play We must not bet what we can't afford to lose We must not bit more than what we can chew We must not eat more than what we can swallow We must not run a race that we can't finish Storms we face must not be the reasons to quit For everywhere, there are mountains and plains And rivers and seas in between Through waves and rapids we must cross Refusing to dare have more to lose While we are young, we must dare While our souls still have flair Or, soon on our death bed We may be drowning in sea of regret *Inspired by my long time journey to recover from gambling addiction and the chances I lost. But I did learn some of my greatest life lessons.*
