Life Is a Dance
Life is a dance.
Sometimes we fall.
Sometimes we land wrong.
Sometimes we do the wrong move completely
and sometimes we twist our ankles.
Sometimes it seems we can’t master a move
no matter what we do.
We just want to
quit moving
give up
and quit dancing.
Sometimes we don’t feel like we can succeed
and that all we do is fail.
Sometimes it’s like it’s one failure after another
and one twisted ankle after another.
But despite all of this,
life can still be beautiful.
Just like a dance.
Despite all the wrong moves
all the failures
and twisted ankles.
Once we have healed
we can bounce right back up.
We can keep on moving.
Because what is a dance
and what is life if we don’t get up
and keep on moving?
Sometimes we land just right.
Sometimes we master a move beautifully.
Sometimes we do it completely wrong and get hurt.
But we keep on dancing.
Because it’s still beautiful.
And life is a dance.
