life is a book in the beginning you hold it in your hands new, fresh, unblemished it is only potential who knows what dreams it holds? at the end you look back at a story, cherished you hate to put it down it's sad to realize it's over it was wonderful, but... so different from the story you imagined when you picked it up

I agree! It also reminds me of art or sewing, looking at the materials before starting, and how differently the work ends up to how it seemed in forethought. life is a book, a tapestry... I like the size of your poem and the length of the lines too. It feels like a thought that has been polished. Faved. J :)

hmm, that's interesting. I guess a lot of things are like that - pieces of art, etc. I'm glad to hear you liked it. I remember thinking when I wrote it that it would be between two covers (front and back).

Thanks, Gershon! I think so. I could never have, in my wildest imagination, have predicted my story.
