Life in the Rearview Mirror

A faint blurred moment
the image in the backup camera became hazy
 was that you?
Walking away one last time
 without regrets
 without looking back.
Why, how, wait
 I'm sorry
I should have said it then.
No going back
 is there?
Life in the rearview
 long faded into a dream
when it was the reflection of you and me.
