Life In a Verse
I’m more interested in
writing life in a verse
There’s no time like the present
To believe in God
Don’t live your life in reverse
Gods here to break the chains
Of every curse
That leaves us bound
And blind
Or in the back of a hearse!
As for me
I’m Keeping my mind flow clean
And keeping my rhyme flow streamed
Dropping the curses from my verses
So you all know what I mean
I’ve learned from the steps of
The others that I’ve followed
That too much pride
Becomes impossible to swallow
And too much vanity
Is a sign of living hollow
I’d rather stand for what I believe
Than to ever ever wallow
In a moment or a person
Or an emotion
that keeps me misdirected
The Lord said that what concerns me
Is what He will finish until
It is perfected
Choose what You will live for
A lot of people kill and die over
feeling disrespected
A flawed mentality
That they didn’t realize
Put a fatal twist to their perceptions
It’s all fun and games
Until it becomes an eye for an eye
I’m replacing that deception
And speaking the truth
Instead of speaking death in a lie
And yea I’m saying it’s my purpose
Because your the same as I
We’re all here for a short time
It’s important
That we become aligned
Multiple individuals
Multiple lives
But all of One accord
There is safety in numbers
I’m trying to make disciples
The same way that Christ did before
Following in the footsteps
of a greater man than I
Is the certain recipe
to touching the edges Of the sky
Educate yourself before
You truly run out of time
Get your thoughts and your heart
To finally stand in the right line
Then get Your spirit focused
Because this is the time of your lifetime
The Holy Ghost will lead You
Like your tied to a lifeline
It will teach you to
Get back in your right mind
And the Lord will increase Your life
At the right time
Out of darkness the Light Shined
Finally upon me
Removing the blinders from my eyes
Now my eyes can see
My ears have become uncovered
Now there’s so much more that I hear
Because God is with me
Who on this earth should I fear?
The purpose is clear
But the road is short and narrow
Stay strong walk long
The Lords eye is on the sparrow
How much more then is His eye on us?
The only real value to me
that a dollar has
Is because it says in God we trust
And until it’s all over
And it’s ashes to ashes
and dust to dust
There’s only one destination
For me
Heaven is a must
