I had a rocking chair till hubby stubbed his toe on it, and broke his poor toe!! Lol, I saw what you said below to one of the comments, Rock N' Roll to rocking chair, that is the size of it. Rock on Gershon, our friend! By the way, I sent a soupmail.

How off the rocking wall is this! To me, this is deep and requires thought. I love what you wrote below about rock to rocking chair (for me, it is a recliner, must put up the feet.) You are usually my witty, upbeat writer and this speaks of 'other', so you're human? 'bereft of air / labored breathing' - we're not talking COPD, are we? IT IS A GOOD WRITE, I'm just concerned ... Ha, ha. I don't even know what COPD is. Of course, I don't know what 'white privilege' is, and I've got that... Thanks for your always entertaining and provocative comments, CayCay!! :) gw

I can feel the angst in this poem. Often we find the old in a rocker. Perhaps to be set in a rocker sounds like an end of life sentence.
