Life In a Nut Shell
This is life in a nut shell
listen up, if you will
The class is dismissed
I could not resist
I raised my hand
my legs turned to sand
but the teacher left
in such a huff
that I found it no use
I was without excuse
No homework than
I am free to form my own band
or lazy around the sandy beach
but, it all was beyond my reach
so I went right to work
so I can have something to fork
it was not going to be all steak and pork
nor mansions, perhaps, a huddle
next to a mud puddle,
this is how it had to be
til the He comes for me
to graduate to eternity.
