Life Breathes Wonder

Squatting lakeside
darting swimmers 
at their feet. 

Shouldered burdens
over shadow even 
family time.

Prayers for Peace
carried in whispers
breath after breath.

Gods coloring book
pages of hope,
peace, beauty.

Just inhale
the wonder!

Denis Joe December 16, 2008 at 10:30 AM I like this Patricia. The economy of it works really well. In the fourth stanza I was puzzled about 'gods'; should there be an apostrophe there? But I think not. It reads well and makes great sense without one. It is also a very clever device.
