Life Begins From Now

The pastel shade of blue
that comes with summer,
Scratched with white for effect.
The scorching face that shines down
reclaiming its power within season.
It cooks the earth and a variety
of scents swarm the thinning air.
The glass attempts and fails to restrain it.
Mood lifts and days pro-longed
beyond belief. Crimson sunsets immigrate
from the east.
The cold concrete, turns and cracks
as it evolves. Metallic drops of water from thirsty taps
dissolve on the cool breath of the wind.
Life begins from now.
