Life Becomes Us

So here we are, look how far we have come. Conversations seem empty, yet my head becomes numb. As we try to go on, With a life made so fast, we can never escape, from the life of the past. As the night becomes day, and the days are so long, we can never make right, all the rights we done wrong.

I like this Steve. You pack a lot into so few words. The alliteration is great and not too much. There is no attemt at pretensiousness (the 'clever-clever' sort). The language is formal but with an invitationary feel to it. The last four lines are great. The rhyming of 'long' with 'wrong' works well because of what precedes the words. that shows skilled structure and use of words.
