Life As It Is

As I sit here and ponder and write in my pad
I truly realize just what I had, had
Those many years ago we were so alive
Life seem so simple we had so much drive
Worries were small but you'd always survive
Even when families had a divide
Pulling together is how it's described
Families struggling daily just to stay alive
Now both parents work so the family will thrive
The world today is hard to subscrbe
It's scary and fearful with so many vives
It's also important to keep all your pride
Not to take life in one simple stride.
