Life and Death
Until Death's visited upon you:
life's reality will remain true.
Death opens the door to the unknown:
your soul transcends mortal flesh and bone.
Death will ignite a tunnel of light:
and it will shine exquisitely bright.
Its brilliance will shame the stars at night:
and all your misgivings shall take flight.
There might be a brief feeling of fright:
witnessing this miraculous sight.
But should you be unsure of your plight:
Angels assure you that it's all right.
Dying will feel somewhat surreal:
for you'll realize God is real.
Yet you'll never know if this is true:
until Death's visited upon you.
