Life and Death
LIFE AND DEATH
The idea of death
The reality of death
Though close
In youth the two seem poles apart
Yet, as one gets older
As spirit slowly leaves the body
That husk – with lingering now mentality –
Reluctantly finds self uncomfortably squeezed
Between the two
