Life After
A couple of appearance and your done
You've passed all the requirements
nonchanlantly you cheer
cause you've finally received the key
to the prison that you've been trapped in for years
You receive your diploma
Now high school's over
Life begins
and the real world starts yanking
you by the throat
letting less air through the hole
pressuring you to be something
to do anything productive
As soon as summer heat hits
you know your gonna need money
cause outside in the real world
it's expensive
and jobs are a necessity
but few are acquirable
So you rely on parents
that are so intolerable
Tryna pave a way
do better than what they say
they want better for you
they want you to achieve
the sun, the earth, and the moon
Competition overseas makes us lose revenue
because of globalization less jobs are attainable
and we sweat and we work hard
tryna earn the paycheck that will
save us from being poor
we want a different score
A different area code
we want better
therefore life after high school
Is simply the beginning
