Listen to poem:

Life Abandoned

Life Abandoned
David J Walker

What of the abandoned baby
	Tears hidden
Seismic cries choaked and cloaked
In an unsparing future
Whose voice speaks for you when
You are months away from birth
And moments away from death

What I would like to do is print it and put it on a wall at home. Post wasn't the correct word.

Good morning, Dave and Happy Fourth of July. I have a piece of prose I would be honored to have you read. The piece is titled The Price of Freedom. I thought of you as a Vet when I posted this. I thought perhaps it will have profundity for you. This is the appropriate day to read The Price of Freedom. Hope all is well. Celebrate today in all its glory and meaning. Roger

So very moving. It reminds me of a speech a student of mine gave years ago. In the speech, she gave the unborn child a name and a voice -- speaking out against abortion. Would you give me permission to print "Life Abandoned" with your credit attached?
