Life, a canvas of karmic art

Life, what a large canvas of karmic art!
We sketch as best can on its cosmic face—
With thinking head or with a feeling heart
And trace life‘s long journey with varied pace.
Some sketch with utmost care, some with raw flare,
None can what’s etched erase nor scratch apart,
But vacant-eyed at one’s own errors stare,
Keep painting still in abrupt fits and start.
Whilst destiny watches as if in fun
What people all their life may endeavour
To meet life's debt of labour that be done,
And then, the clock as strikes the closing hour
As if with consenting nod of heaven,
The journey run and curtain called, dream’s done.
