I am fine Anne Lise as you can see from today I am still writing humour at the drop of a hat and the best thing is my son arrives in an hour and I can't wait to give him a massive hug as I've not seen him since january:-) hugs jan xx

Nicely summed; it's hard to attend so many in such a short period of time. Things will look upwards again.

I felt so privileged to be there James and it was wonderful to be able to provide the sound system so that everyone who couldn't fit in the church could actually hear the service:-) hugs jan xx

What a gorgeous Monoku Jan! Life is truly that...fragile! I have friends and family that are in that fragile state right now, I hope not to go to four funerals in three weeks like you! So sorry for your losses, maybe you didn't know that one lady, but it's nice that you were there, you honored her with your presence! I'm glad that you get to see your son Friday, sorry it's for that reason however! Such a glorious poem my friend! Great Work!!

I am sorry you can relate Russell, my husband's cancer has made me realise how truly fragile we are and I appreciate every moment I have left. I felt really privileged to be there today Russell and we got so many comments afterwards how grateful people were to be able to hear the service as the church was fit to burst and there were about another 70 packed into the over-spill room :-) hugs jan xx

It's odd Anna we had never met the lady whose funeral we went to today but from the amount of people thee it was obvious she was so very loved (see my comment to heidi) :-) hugs jan xx

I feel so much for her family - she went out to walk the dog and died but she was doing something she loved. After hearing her family talk about her I wish I'd actually met her she was a wonderful woman and its no wonder hubby had to set up the PA so everyone could be part of the service even though they couldn't get into the church:-) hugs jan xx

Hopefully that will be the last for a long while. And you are right about life's fragility.

So fragile, yes, I think the beautiful part is what we need to hold onto so we never lose hope. :) Love, Juli-Michelle

It's been a tough 3 weeks Heidi - I'm in the process of writing a poem about all four funerals as they were all so different but I can't finish it until the last one on Friday. The interesting thing about the funeral today is we didn't know the lady and had never met her, but because the congregation was going to be so big in the actual church my hubby was asked to set up a PA in the church hall so that the people in there could hear the service .There were about 70 people in the hall and it was so wonderful to be able to provide the facilities for them to take part:-) hugs jan xx
