Life

Life

The tree of life is everlasting with great beauty to behold
Seeds may fall to the sea of green
 Sheltered by the tender blades
 forever reproducing life

 Others fall but never rise
 Falling on the shady side
On earth refusing to produce a bud
 Unable to see the light

The tree of life is torn
Between the darkness and the light
 Unable to conclude or choose
 Which is morally right

 And in all the fury
The tree of life is struck
 By a bolt of indecision
And it withers to the ground

 The darkness did not flourish
Nor was it enlightened with hope
And the light side lives in denial
That the dark side even exists
