Life

I ponder on what life is all about
Chasing dreams and holding out,
We are like moths reaching for the light
Sigh! When will it be all bright?

Dreams are like bubbles afloat
Reality like a pin that pricks and they burst
There is an ennui that tells of it all
Oh what is life all about?

Show me that place where we shall find
That elusive joy unbound
Do you know the road that leads on?
To that glorious place on earth

If life is a moment to be spent
Doing things that are meant
To make this place a thrill, a joy
I wish I could magically change it all
