Notes About The Poem

I personally believe in life after death, but the poem didn't go that way.  Excuse me!

Life

Life
----

Life is what goes before,
For death is long and grounded.
When you're dead
It's close the door
To all you've ever wanted.

Life is but a little time,
It's music, noise, all sounded.
When you're dead
It's bang the door...
Too late for what you wanted.

Life is a grand old time,
And death is long and grounded.
When you're dead
There is no more,
Except your bones.

Confound it!
