Lies to Our Self
I will be okay.
You, she, we, me, us...
are just fine.
All the time,
we talk too much,
and not enough.
Lose weight,
stop smoking,
no joking...
Screaming at the mirror,
on meth, how dare them?
Gathering in my bathroom,
to sing, loudly, obnoxiously,
until the New Day, is old,
again.
The truth,
a story of our own making,
to fit the need of our less than...
ability to make it down the road of life,
without crashing from side to side.
The law,
of accountability, diminished by social war,
terrorism come to live among us,
in a time that living for God,
can get you killed.
When has that ever,
not been the case.
Those without a forever,
long to destroy those that have one,
in an combined will to choose,
suffering for all,
the right motivation,
to commit sin,
in the name of acceptance.
The media, and news,
"ganda" again, the same as before. (propaganda)
There is a knock at the door,
hit the floor,
they have come to take,
the stake from my heart,
and carve the rest into meat,
for the animals, unseen by those...
blind by color and Light.
No fear,
I cheer,
it is the New Year,
I peer into the darkness...
with a flash light.
