Lies have become a deep abyss between us
Lies have become a deep abyss between us,
And now, with a gentle voice, you silently confess to me,
That the fear of losing me hid the truth in shadows,
But if love was your fear, why did you not trust?
How little you valued what we shared under the stars,
How carelessly you let the moments turn to ashes,
But do all these things matter now, or do they really matter?
Is that the question that brought you wandering back to me?
Time has pulled us like tides, slowly separating us,
The distance between us is not in miles, but in deep scars,
Like rivers of melancholy flowing through the map of the soul,
Between us lies a sky of extinguished stars that divides us.
I ask you, in the night of shadows and late truths,
Where did we go wrong, where was the thread of light that united us lost,
And if there is still a way to find it, to bring it back to life,
Or are we just strangers who shared a dream scattered in the wind?
