Lies

Lies are complicated. They twist and grow and change with time. You can lie to anyone. Lie to your parents to show them what they want to see. Lie to your children to show them what they need to see. Lie to your friends to give them hope. Lie to your enemies to take it away. Lie to your lover to keep them happy. Lie to your abusers to drive them down. Lie to your subordinates to keep them in line. Lie to your superiors to rise above them. But do not lie to yourself. The moment you start to believe your own lies, you have already lost.
