Lies

Lying is a sin

You really shouldn't do it

But what would you choose

If it came down to it?

We claim we strive for truth

Never looking at the big picture

We lie everyday

Even to those we call Mrs. and Mr.

Lying is natural

Though some deny it

They are not in reality

But on an illusion diet

We lie for many reasons

Sometimes the truth is too hard

But you should know the consequences

Life isn't a playing card

We all pay in the end

One way or another

So know what you say

The next time you talk to your mother
