Lies

Your lies begin to erupt and I'm losing sight of you- who I thought you were- who I wanted but it's clear you've won once again- shut the door another time- let me be in the damp, dark old room- filled with our memories. Then you spit out one more line and I curse you in my head I'm better off without you- yet the love's better off dead so hit me one more time this is the last straw in my hand i've fallen way to much for someone to toss me on the ground.

I am very happy to have been able to read your poetry today Sarah. I do not have a lot of words to comment on it but I want you to know I did read it. Every poem as with every poet has a different meaning and I do not wish to misinterpert your poetry. I do love reading poetry here and I get inspiration from others poetry which enables me to write new poetry myself. There are lots of wonderful people who give great comments here and I hope they all read your poetry and comment. Love, Carol
