Liebesleid

LIEBESLEID

Love’s sorrow
Not like a dagger thrust
Blood will congeal
The cut will heal

A loss of love though?
Injures the very soul
Mortal mind may forget
Liebesleid eternally says “not yet”

I'll download it to you with love. Of the hundreds of Haiku, Tanka and other short forms I've put together there are a few good ones. Of these I'll probably do a little reworking, plus add a few new ones. Love, Dave

An delightful write, Daver. I don't think there can be more sorrowful, than the bereavement of losing a loved one. "Liebesleid" would surely be a balm to the soul. Wishing you and yours the best! Mikki

How true, Daver. We contend better with the hassles couples incur in their lives together than we do when we face a breakup. Well said! Love, Carolyn
