Liberation

Letting go can feel so wrong,
As if our heart has lost its song,
We try to hold on with all our might,
But the more we grasp, the more we fight.

We ache to give our love so true,
Hoping it will be returned anew,
But sometimes we're misunderstood,
Leaving us feeling lost and no good.

The pain can crush our self-esteem,
Leaving us feeling like a broken dream,
We wonder if we'll ever be enough,
As we struggle through the tough.

But there's a way to find some peace,
And let the memories slowly release,
It starts with giving ourselves grace,
And finding our own happy place.

So breathe in deep and let it out,
Embrace the peace that comes about,
And know that time will heal the pain,
As we learn to love ourselves again.

I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
