Liar?
You said that You would never tell a lie,
But You have definitely lied to me,
By telling me that You will always be
Here for me until the day that I die.
How many times did You just watch me cry,
Begging You for help, while on bended knee,
Praying and pleading that I be set free
From the pain that put the tears in my eye.
However, who am I to question You?
A fatherless child since the day of birth.
Though my salvation is well within view,
I can not take it for what it is worth,
Because no matter what I try to do,
My power has been limited to earth.
