Levitation

Twenty minutes after strangled candles have been left without a neck to brace the branches on the tree hanging lower and calm has conquered & completely overtaken deafened choir - their note of silence dangled like a lost set of novelist’s keys directing ground turn to sky for eyes of a mother now unflocked to fly - you knead me at the bakery no one knew existed who watched it burn, outright, all night the night before you & me we go anywhere together we want to go, the pulse of my palm pressed against your ploy to pry.
