Operations
Spinal taps
Bone marrows
Saving lives
Parents crying
Children dying
Clinging to life
On a hope
Wishful thinking
Prolonged results
Death is eminent
Praying in pause
Attached to machines
To stay alive
Battling for time
Gasping for breath
Inhaling oxygen
Keeping you stable
With positive thinking
To ease the pain
Only for so long
Until it strikes back again
Fighting to survive
Through another day
Never giving up
To the last moment
Exhausting all possibilities
Before letting go
Of a sad fate
Illness in remission
Or way to late
