Letting Go of Summer Ventures
Due to our country’s enforced lockdown
Work fervor has slowed down
Yet we’re cheered not to break down
As God with His mercy never shuts down.
Though we miss this year’s Summer* venture
In our tribe’s April culture midst bonding nurture
Through livestreaming, we have reunions of caring gesture
Along great cooking with creative menus’ feature.
Thankful still, we let go of graduation exercises
Considering that such minimizes expenses
Likewise all our scheduled “May alliances”
Because of social distancing and no handshake practices.
Our Summer hot pursuits are indeed jubilant
With faith in the Lord Who makes days triumphant
While having hearts, spiritually radiant
To share warmth of love** … graciously abundant.
*Here in the Tropics, Summer is from March to May.
*Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
