Letting Go
lingering emotions I long to free
Escaping memories that weaken me
Time to release this burden upon my heart
Today is the day I embrace my new start
Incinerating feelings for freedom from the past
Never imagining how long it would actually last
Giving my soul another chance
Glimmers of hope in a second glance
Out of the shadows, my heart can dance
