Letting Go
Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: letting Go
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan
written: April/1986
Today
I've made
the conscious
choice,
to let
you
go -
The
strangle
hold
that
you once
had
on me
is
no more -
I
am
no longer
hypnotised
by
your
disguise,
and
sweet tales
of
love -
You
stole
my
heart
like
a thief
in
the night -
It hurts
to know
that
I
was
so
naive -
Today
I've made
the
conscious
choice
to let you
go -
I
thought
that,
to be
in your
company,
was
like a
dream -
For
your love,
I would
walk
through
fire,
and
feel no
pain -
And
with
all my
heart,
and
soul,
I gave
you all
that
I had
to
give -
your
sweet
story's
of
love,
captivated
me -
I was
mesmerised,
but
now
I'm
no longer
under
your spell -
Today
I've
made the
conscious
choice
to
let you
go,
so that
I may
live -
