Letting Go

Mother says you don’t have to hold on so tight
Because you are scared or frightened
That any opportunity we may have had
Is now forever gone and you’ll sing your forlorn songs
When in reality
You are now beautiful
Your soul cascades into the night sky

Mother says be brave
Pave a way for a new day
Let it all come crashing down
Let the tears open up those gates
Where you will be free
Letting go
