Letters To Aniro
You fell for my simple
Poems back, way back in those days
When you’d smile, exposing those dimples
Similar to those when a donkey brays.
One could tell from afar
That we were so in love,
Though the distance made it seem far,
We saw it as close, as if it was a curve.
We were so in love.
I don’t know where the rain
Started beating us from, it all happened
So fast, and so it just caused you pain
I thought I’d fix things, all it did was gapen.
Then came the blame game,
With one rule, lose me or I lose you,
And so I lost you, for my soul to remain tame,
I wished all this wasn’t true.
We were so in love.
Now I don’t blame you, You chose
To believe, I do not know, what others say,
Got fed, apparently gave you an overdose,
You don’t believe me, me...? In any way.
I know you think all’s my fault
But you didn’t give me the chance
To talk things over, all you gave me was a halt,
We could’ve work things out, if only I knew your stance,
We were so in love.
I needed you then, I need you now, in my life
Cause you’re a part of it.
Cut through my soul with a blunt knife,
You know, that’s how it pains me without your love lit
In my heart. It is so dark.
I feel lost in my quest,
I’m just trying to say that I want you back
Because…I can’t continue with the rest.
PS if I had two hearts I’d let you keep one
Cause I want you to feel my heart beat. . . :-)
