Letters On Love
“A”loves B,
but B loves J,
J’s between C and D.
So A is blue,
and B is sad;
J reminds me of you.
A makes do,
and B moves away,
hiding a heart full of pain.
A gets through,
and B finds an X,
always in love with J.
Why is love that way -
Does love go like that -
how and when -
where and who.
Why don’t you love me -
Why don’t I love you -
what a joy to share -
we’re it true.
But A loves B,
and B loves J,
J’s running toward letters anew.
So love is blind,
and hard to find
a letter for you and for me.
