Letters From Jail

each and every letter I read over and over cries for help please of insanity please get me out large scribbles on both sides of the paper more than promises a desperate girl locked up weeks I didn't sleep thinking of her naked in jail on suicide watch I could see her through my fisheye mamma's lens my skin crawled with guilt my throat closed in the shower I sobbed yet I left her there a mothers heart can surely be broken more than a million times.

As one who has been denied motherhood, I can only imagine your pain, but your words were enough for me to taste a fraction of your woes, and I thank you for bearing your soul with us. Wonderful poem. And thank you for your comments on my new poem also. ~Trudy~
