Letters

I wrote those letters to myself.
Because no one else wanted to hear.
About the madness in my head.
The pain that will not disappear.

I read the letters by myself
So that I could see the words written down
So that I could agree and pretend they were someone else’s troubles
To not feel so let down

I wrote letters to myself
Because no one wanted to see
That my mind can’t live with them
The reasons why they don’t want to know me.

I wrote letters to myself
So that I could have someone to blame
For the silent screaming inside my brain
For all the years I couldn’t grow…

To give a reason to end this living pain.
