Letter To Kid Cudi
People may not understand some of the words on this page I write
As I write a thank you letter to an artist who's music saved my life
When I was alone your albums made me feel like I have a place in life
Thank you Kid Cudi because when things go wrong, your music helps to make things right
I remember when I first heard Man on the moon, it made me feel like I have a place on this earth
Whenever I throw on pursuit of happiness I feel like it's my escape from the hurt
I was down and out, Depression had took over, but suddenly I found faith in your words
I wish I could thank you personally and give more than just a page of my words
I like to sit alone with your music it helps to get my mind clear
When "The Prayer" comes on, it makes me think beyond my time here
Will I be remembered and will I leave a legacy behind
We all know you're a tortured artist, but your music proves you have a legendary mind
I never felt like I belonged, but your music gave me a purpose
I remember crying in 2016 reading your post about checking into rehab for Suicidal urges
You apologised and felt like you'd let us fans down, but that couldn't be further from the truth
I love your music Kid Cudi, But I'm glad Scott Mescudi overcame his demons and pulled through
When I'm feeling low I watch your interview where you say all you want to do is stop kids feeling Suicidal
I hope you know how much of a role model you are and that your music is a big part of my survival
Your songs became the bandage for the scars I used to bleed with
Scott Mescudi I wrote this to thank you even though you won't get to read it
