Letter

I wrote a letter to my love
With hopes that she would find
She would open and read the words
Leave anger then behind

But no, the words they didn’t pen
I knew not what to say
She opened it and crumpled
The love I had that day

She did not understand the gist
The meaning that I sent
I only wish she took the time
To read just what was meant

So here’s another letter for my love
Now it’s written in my blood
Wishing to pour myself out to her
And to give undying love
